All Varta YT series "Liquifix" batteries use AGM technology which consists of an Absorbent
Glass-fibre Matting between the lead plates inside the battery. This material absorbs and stabilises
the electrolyte so the battery can be mounted in any orientation and also allows higher discharge rates without causing internal damage to the battery. AGM batteries are often referred to as “Gel” batteries because the electrolyte appears to be solid but they are also sometimes known as “Dry” or “Sealed” batteries.
Please note that we strongly advise that before you buy this product you compare the part number and specification with those of the battery you are replacing. This is because some motorcycle manufacturers fitted more than one battery type to some models and the battery or batteries suggested by our cross-reference guide may
occasionally not be the most suitable one for your application. If you do however buy an item that turns out to be unsuitable we will normally
exchange the product subject to reasonable conditions but you should be aware that once the battery has been filled or fitted it will not be accepted for exchange unless it is faulty.
